Progress of RAM addition of ATARI 800 to 1MB RAM according to SATANTRONIC (description is write for ATARI800XE with 64kB RAM in four chips with 10 pins - C103579-001 REV.I ASSY NO. CA200519)

  • 1. delocalize for MMMU (U34) three resistor about to the value of 0 ohm. A according to picture CUT.PNG interrupt two lines.
  • 2. into first five lower outlet MMMU solder part of cap for mount SMMMU. PIN 1 MMMU matches PINU 2 SMMMU.
  • 3. In upper series outlet with from the left omission three and into by other four with seal part cap.
  • 4. On PIN 18 MMU you have signal ~BE (*) - later with attach to 14 SMMMU.
  • 5. On PIN 6 MMU you have signal ~MAP (*) - come to 15 SMMMU.
  • 6. On PIN 11 MMU you have signal ~REF (*) - come to 13 SMMMU.
  • 7. Between the two lower resistor below MMU with according to pictures CUT.PNG bring out signal PB7, and connect it to 10 SMMMU.
  • 8. From disconnect line with according to picture CUT.PNG applied signal PB1, which with attach to 11 SMMMU.
  • 9. From pin MMMU 10 (U34) with bring out signal PB5, which with attach to 8 SMMMU - on picture RAM.PNG is other way bring out hereof signal.
  • 10. Adjust outlet perimeter GAL (SMMMU) according to picture SMMMU.PNG and engaged into socket.
  • 11. Applied signal ~BE(14), ~REF(13), ~MAP(15), PB7(10), PB1(11), PB5(8) on pin SMMMU listed in parentheses.
  • 12. According to picture RPB6.PNG interface resistor 3k3 (on pictures left) and signal PB6 attach to SMMMU pin 9.
  • 13. From pin 33 of FREDDIE bring out signal ~RAS, which with attach to pin 1 SMMMU.
  • 14. According to pictures RAM.PNG attach to perimeter 74HCT00 (I to him unbend pettitoes and stuck him on Freddiho bilateral paste-board) signals CAS and 02, further 5V and LAND, among 5V and LAND interface condenser 100nF.
  • 15. On IC 74HCT00 (it can be for example 7400, but at the expense of higher taking) connection pins 12 and 13, and connect it to signal CAS.
  • 16. Further with on 74HCT00 put together pins 11 and 10 (just terminals incurvate and solder together - nothing with at them nonaddition).
  • 17. On pin 9 of 74HCT00 connectsignal 02 (from pin 5 of Freddie).
  • 18. Output signal from pin 8 74HCT00 connect to 7 pin SMMMU.
  • 19. Follow conecting SIMM (socket for SIMM) on pins of SMMMU and RAM. Mark outlet is on picture SIMM.PNG.
  • 20. Warning. Compared to photograph be in at of my computer exchange signals CAS1MAN and CAS2BNK, so that signal leading to the SIMMU with attach to resistor, that is near to SMMMU.
  • 21. Other communications connect along schematics or according to table:

  • 22. On pins 12 and 24 on SMMMU connect condenser 100nF.
  • 23. On pin with 5V and GND on SIMMU connect condenser 100nF.

Notes:
According to schematics it is possible add cut-outs for switching size of RAM or disconnect RAM addition. Data's lines D0 - D7 can be swop, e.g . face round succession on D7 - D0. Wiring outlet SIMMU is on pictures SIMM.PNG pictures they are from WEB of satantronic (where's more pictures).
